Strawberry season is the best season. I have great memories of
making eating strawberry shortcake as a kid. Every year when strawberry season rolls around I attempt to make some kind of paleo strawberry shortcake. The first few attempts were somewhat disastrous, but this year I feel like I nailed it. I even served it to gluten-eaters, and they loved it!
